Trade Routes is supporting Folk Music Canada’s mission to Folk Alliance International Conference in Kansas City, February 1st - February 5th, 2023. The mission is designed to support Canadian delegates and musicians by yielding new business relationships, export bound touring and strong financial results for participants.

Both Canadian delegates and musicians are eligible for this unique opportunity to gain knowledge, industry connections, and mentorship within the Folk Music Industry. Successful candidates will need to show a strong potential to conduct business in the folk music arena by demonstrating established international recording, touring or publishing activity.

Folk Music Canada will host a delegation of Canadian folk musicians and music delegates to develop business from target countries at the conference. This includes the showcase of Canadian folk performers (export-ready, already exporting) to international buyers from all around the world - music festivals, booking agents, heads of industry associations, key local companies/organizations and more.

The application is open to Canadian companies, professionals and musicians at no cost.

If approved, 50% of airfare, hotel and per diem will be covered by Folk Music Canada. This mission is open to Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents or a Protected Person (approved refugee claimant) only. Please read the terms and conditions before you apply.
